Features:

This battery has two Input/Output connectors. You may use them to charge battery or get power from battery. One end is 5.5 x 2.5mm female connector with positive polarity ( Inside positive, outside negative/ground). Another end has two wires with Anderson Power Pole connector. Red Wire is positive, Black wire is negative/ground.

Multi batteries can be connected in serial or parallel to provide more power:
Most lithium ion batteries can not be connected together directly without extra circuits protection. This battery has built-in circuits inside that make this battery being able to connection in serial ( Maximum 4 batteries allowed in serial) to provide higher voltage, for example, 2 batteries in serial to provide 24V power, 3 batteries in serial to provide 36V power, 4 batteries in serial to provide 48V power. Multi batteries can connected in parallel to provide more power also, for example, 2 batteries in serial to provide 12V 40Ah capacity, 3 batteries in serial to provide 12V 60Ah power.

Warning: Only this battery and some other specially designed batteries can be connected in serial or parallel. Unless specifically mentioned, all other BiXPower lithium ion batteries are designed to provide power independently, can not be connected directly with other batteries in serial or parallel.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)Pros:

Long life span (5-10 years) vs lead acid (1-3 years), depending on depth of discharge and assuming that the cycle limit doesn't kill the battery first Longer cycle life, as LiFePO4 batteries last 1,000 to 3,000 charge and discharge cycles, compared to similarly sized lead-acid batteries, which can range from 200 - 1000 cycles (again, assuming depth of discharge is within recommended limits for both battery types).

LiFePO4 batteries are less susceptible to problems caused by depth of discharge...a LiFePO4 battery can be dropped to 20% of charge without long-term damage. Most lead-acid batteries lose capacity or cycle life if they're discharged more than 50%.

Output Voltage:

The battery output voltage range is 10V ~ 14.6V, nominal voltage is 12.8V. When the battery is fully charged, its output voltage is 14.6V. The output voltage will decrease gradually and finally will cut off at around 10V. Most of the time, the voltage will be in range 12V ~ 13.6V

Charging: Only use the chargers supplied with the battery or BiXPower authorized chargers to charge the battery. Chargers with incorrect voltage, current, or polarity settings may damage the battery. Please monitor the charging process and react to potential problems that may occur. If you cannot, please make sure to leave it on an isolated fireproof area, away from other flammable materials.

Storage & Handling: DO NOT leave a fully exhausted battery on a shelf. Charge it to least at 50% or more if you do not need to use it for a long time. Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time. We recommend using the battery at least once a month. If a battery has not been used for a long period of time, please perform the new battery exercise. Fully discharge and then fully charge the battery at least once every 3 months. Always store the battery in a cool and dry place between 0°C (32 F) and 20°C (70°F), and away from flammable materials.

Fire/Smoke Emission: Batteries contain flammable/combustible material that can be ignited, explode, release toxic materials, cause burns or give off gases when heated or in contact with sparks or flames. One key advantage for LiFePO4 batteries is the superior thermal and chemical stability, which provides better safety characteristics than lithium-ion batteries with other cathode materials. Due to significantly stronger bonds between the oxygen atoms in the phosphate (compared to the cobalt), oxygen is not readily released, and as a result, lithium iron phosphate cells are virtually incombustible in the event of mishandling during charge or discharge, and can handle high temperatures without decomposing.

LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery also offers a longer cycle life over standard lithium ion batteries. Standard lithium ion batteries normally can recharged about 500 times. LiFePO4 batteries normally can be recharged about 2000 times.

Use the battery directly: The battery output power is directly from battery cells without voltage regulation. When the battery is fully charged, its output voltage is 14.4V, then output voltage will decrease gradually. Most of the time, the output voltage will be around 12V ~ 13V (nominal voltage is 12.8V). When the voltage drops to 10V, the battery will shut off and stop providing power.

It is CRITICAL that you determine your device polarity before using the battery and connect to the battery correctly in polarity. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN SEVERE DAMAGE TO YOUR PRODUCT!
